NEW CONTEST: best explication of the symbolism in this video gets secret presents from my travels these holidays in Paris and Germany (and maybe Istanbul if I can drum something up, I wasn’t paying attention there) +  maybe some art I will make for you.

“Best” can mean many things—smartest? Clearest? Cleverest? Most mind-blowing? Most earnest? Funniest? Sexiest? Most ironic?

I might just make a category for each thing. Like glorified comment awards, but WAY BETTER.

Awards announced January 2. Be ready.

(I’m serious about this. Do it.)

Well, I think the best and most precious things in life are:
harmony with your existenceconnecting water, air, sunlight, and you something beautifulcreating something beautifulbeing taken in by an artistic obsession

saying something newsaying it wellthinkinggaining a new realizationhaving insightbuilding complexitythe passionate pursuit of knowlege
fighting for the ability of others to get these thingsbelieving in humans
and lastly,

THEY ARE NOT:self-pleasureself-indulgenceself-involvementself-absorptionself-service get out of yourself.
Don’t rely on someone else to validate you—you are validated, because you are. Realize that responsibility.
